Nice choices, but 750watt is way overpowered for just one GTX 670. Get a Corsair HX650, which is more efficient. For the motherboard the MSI Z77 Mpower motherboard would be the best bet IMHO.

Yeah, agree on the MPower.

Don't know what your budget is, but try to squeeze an SSD in there as a boot drive (:

The MSI Mpower is added to my list :D . I probably won't downgrade the psu because for whatever reason at the moment, the TX750 is actually cheaper than the TX650 on the site I'm going to buy my components from. And unfortunately, I probably won't be getting an SSD because I'm already pushing my budget with the things I have picked out right now (I'm trying to keep it around $1500 with the OS and Monitor). I'd probably be able to afford one if I downgraded my GPU to a GTX 660 ti. What do you guys think I should do?

Go for a 7970 instead of the 670. Same price and better performance. Also, I agree with getting the HX650. My first build was with a non modular PSU, and that's never happening again. It's just a nightmare. Besides, the hx650 will save you money in the long run.

I have a question. Would a Phenom ii x4 965 bottleneck a GTX 670?

It would compared to a 3570k.

You could always get a slightly less expensive HDD like a WD blue or green, and then maybe squeese in enough dough for an SSD.

Contrary to what everyone else says, I say get the PSU you want, especially if its cheaper than the lower model. However, modular is a good idea. Who knows, you might decide to throw in an extra GPU some day and it would be stupid to have to upgrade a PSU to do it. That can be taken care of now. The only real difference between 650 and 750 is maximum load. At idle the system will still suck pretty much the same power. It's not like a 750 pulls 750w at idle 24/7 regardless.Lots of people like those Corsair AX1200i but the fact is most people who use them dont need that much power. Thats e-peen saying "my PSU is bigger than yours."

In the long run its up to you to decide what best suits your own needs.

I made a few changes.

Case - Corsair Carbide 300r
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
CPU - i5 3570k
GPU - XFX Radeon HD 7870 Double D
Power Supply - Corsair TX650 v2
RAM - 8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz
HDD - 1tb Western Digital Caviar Black
Optical Drive - Asus DVD burner
CPU Fan - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium
Monitor - Asus VS248H-P

This will probably be the build I go for unless someone thinks I should change something.

Keep the MSI Z77 MPower, it is alot better then the Gigabyte. And if will like to overclock. Get a "Noctua NH-D14 cpu cooler" It is still one of the best Air cooler today.

But if you go whit that cooler, make sure to get some low ram ;)

A nice SSD will make life so much better. Reduced boot times are always a good thing, and these suckers boot FAST.
After reading every review I could find I kind of took the opinion that the Gigabyte mainboards suck. They use a VIA chipset and they IMO suck. I could list other reasons they Gigbyte boards dont appeal to me but I wont - too much to go into.

I bought the MSI Z77A-GD65 and have been very pleased with its performance and options in BIOS. Apparently the MPower is better and more thoroughly tested at the factory, and has 6 SATA 3.0 ports, handy for SSD's.

I would keep the GTX 670 FTW. I have had very good luck with the ASUS Sabertooth Z77. I did my personal rig my signature for $1600. I looooove the AX850, my system hardly use any power, so the fan only turns on while gaming or heavy CPU like rendering or something... I cannot stress the importance of an SSD. It's worth every penny!

Thanks, TheCMStormStryker

Changes! My budget changed and I had to cut back a little so here is the new list.

Case - Cooler Master Elite 430
Motherboard - MSI 970A-G46
CPU - AMD Phenom ii x4 965
GPU - EVGA GTX 660 Superclocked
Power Supply - XFX Core Edition 650w
RAM - 8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz
HDD - 1tb Western Digital Caviar Black
Optical Drive - Lite-On DVD burner
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium
Monitor - Asus VS248H-P

Let me know what you think!

Change the PSU to a Corsair TX650 and that looks good, you cannot beat the Corsair PSUs. I don't hav experience with the CPU or MOBO, but the rest looks solid!
