Just had to install Thunderbird again, works like a charm. :D Now all I need is to redirect my old mail addy to this one, and I won't have to use the web-based one anymore. Thanks a bunch, Jim. :D

Okay, this is weird...I can recieve mail (in Thunderbird), but not send...Don't know if it's the config on the router, but everything seems to look okay there...Any ideas?

Jim, Great service to offer.

I'd like wh@mmo.ms if it's free and not taken. I'll pm a password just in case.

I was tempted to ask for sp@mmo.ms but thought that would not turn out to be a wise choice!

You probably need to enable SMTP Authentication. Look for this box in the Thunderbird email account settings:

Make sure there is a tick in that "username and password" box, and that your email address is entered in the box below.

Everything seems to be set up right...

Do you get any error messages? Also some ISP's block you from using any SMTP server other than their own.

The errormessage reads that it couldn't connect to mx2.gamermail.ms, and that I should check my SMTP-settings. I do not believe my ISP would block any access to other SMTP-servers...But however, I do believe it could have something to do with my router, but that's also weird, as it lets me check for incoming mail, but not send outgoing.

Try this:

Go into the command prompt "Start>Run>cmd"

In the command prompt type "telnet mx2.gamermail.ms 25" and hit enter.

If it says unable to connect then its either your ISP or your router blocking SMTP.
