Hello all! one of my friends from my clan is having some issues with his gtx 570 its exactly the same model as mine the EVGA GTX570 HD Superclocked he is having issues running anything gpu intensive (If you can call minecraft GPU intensive) its just crashing the game he had the same issue trying to run the bf3 beta and is going to send it back to scan, he will have no problems getting another because its not been 7 days but just wondering if there is anything i could suggest to him? Thanks!

Has he tried reinstalling drivers AFTER sweeping them?

Also I will see you again on the 25th for BF3

When you say "crash", do you mean they (the games) crash straight to desktop (ie the game closes as if alt + f4'd), or do they tend to crash with bug/crash reports?

I suppose the other obvious one, if it hasn't been checked, is temps. Whilst those cards are generally VERY well built, it's entirely possible that just maybe, he's extremely unlucky and as your title suggests, he received a card that wasn't truly stable.

I'll also second kingofsand's suggestion, it may be worth his time using a driver sweeper/cleaner to remove all driver traces and to try current BETA drivers/newest stable release.
