Far Cry keeps Crashing

Far Cry keep crashing to the desktop and I don't know why its happening. I have all the latest far cry patches and am running 81.94 drivers. It does it if everythings at stock also. Anyone have any ideas?

Change drivers back to previous revision - make sure nothing else is running in the background - disable anti-virus??

How's about adjusting the overclocks that you have or monitoring your temps just to be safe.

Or change the detail/resolution settings - see if it either cures the problem or helps isolate it better.

I notice that you are running ballistix ram - I also heard that some of these have reliability issues maybe run memtest and make sure these are not the root cause.

hmm, I'm pretty sure its the game. Memtest, prime and superpi all run fine and the game does it with everything at stock also. Tried it at lower settings and it does it also. It only seems to happen at certain areas of certain levels though. My temps are fine.

try running 3dm03 to see if your system crashes in the most stressful bench around.

Tried reinstalling Far Cry?

Any particular thing that does it? Time related? Level changing?

All benchmarks are fine. Appears to happen randomlely but when it does happen it then happens everytime after around the same place - if that makes sense.

Yeah, sounds like a game problem to me rather than hardware, you tried reinstalling?

Hopefully the re-install will help nick - the best solution to stop it from happening again is to play something else

If only far cry not working was my only PC problem

Lol, I've asked for a few pc games for xmas but I don't know which/if any I'll get so I can't buy any before that as I don't want to have two copies of the same game! I'm really eager to play COD2 and NFS:MW though!!

Id deffo recommend COD2!! I finished mine in 3 nights i couldnt put it down! Superb game Played the demo on NFSMW thats was pretty ace too! Enjoy if thats what u get m8 im sure ull enjoy!
