Fan Controllers, so many fan controllers.

As you can tell by the title, I am looking for a fan controller but there are so many, I've never looked at them until today and I am swerving (well more, falling) towards Lamptron.

Personally I would run all fans 12v as I always have my headset on when gaming, but then comes a time the girlfriend and I like to sit down a watch movies and series online.

I have control over 2 chassis fans directly from the case and kind of have issues with the H100i software controlling the 4 fans on the radiator, that aside. I would like to control ALL fans from one place.
These are: 3xAF120, 3xF12, 2xSP120, 2xSP120L. I also have 1xAF140 but this can stay at 12v.

These are the controllers I have in mind:
FC5V2
FC8
FC9

From what I see on the specifications, any of these can control multiple fans on one channel.

My question is, does anyone know of any issues with any of these fan controllers?

Also, I am open to change but there are a few requirements:
- has to be black.
- can't be touchscreen.
- any L.E.D's/displays have to be red, maybe white if the controller is awesome.
- channels need to be powerful enough to hold multiple fans.
- there needs to be at least 4 channels.

have you tried the fan speed reducers in the fan kits, yet? this way you can try
some speed/noise reduction and possibly won't have to speed money on more
spagetti? and if the reducers achive the goal, then use direct molex power with
an appropriate voltage adapter.. if the reducers do not deliver the intended goal
then you got the wrong fan/fan speed (noise) for that application.

I need control of the fans. I run them quite high when I am alone but need to turn them down while watching movies and series (through the PC to a TV) with the girlfriend.

Also, my case is extremely tidy inside, like picture perfect. The only thing left is to remove all the fan cables from the motherboard and sleeve the 24pin, graphics 6 and 8 pin, CPU 8 pin and the power/reset button.

good luck on a fan controller.
you don't need a controller, you need proper fans/voltage for quiteness.

never used a fan controller, just molex and under-volting.
too much spagetti back-n-forth.

Listen dude, I came to ask about a fan controller, not how to make my fans run quieter constantly, hence the word "controller" caps lock enabled especially for you. I WANT TO CONTROL MY FANS. So please a bit of information that would be useful to me would be nice. If I wanted to permanently down volt my fans then I would.

Oh and who said I want a quiet pc always, did you not read the part where I say "personally I would run all fans at 12v as I always have my headset on but there comes a time me and the girlfriend want to sit down and watch a film" doesn't this tell you I don't give a damn about a quiet pc when I am alone.

Also, if I wanted my fans to be permanently quiet I'd of bought quieter fans.

And I have no idea where you get this silly idea that a fan controller is messy or as you put it "spaghetti back-nforth. It's actually a lot tidier as you run a single molex to the controller then just route all fan wires around the back to 1 place instead of scattered all over the motherboard or the even messier way of many molex and undervolting. Why run at set speeds and have messier cabling when it can be tidier and you have a choice to run at 7v if you wish also 8v oh and 9 and 10, did I mention 11 and 12v. Damn I forgot 4,5 and 6v also.

Gaming away, fans up about 80% (9.6v) with my headset on, girlfriend comes around, movie on, turn the fans down to around 25% (3v) and bam, quiet.

Man you have some hate against fan controllers, just as much as I do for people purposely giving pointless information irrelevant to a post.

I bought powerful fans for a reason, the same reason they are made, for maximum airflow. I am buying a fan controller for a reason, the same reason they made them, for controlling fans on those few occasions needed.

Dude, no need to get aggressive, especially when it is a member of the moderating team, what you say doesn't really make sense either, you say you want them quieter constantly, well that is exactly what reducers give you

I say that I don't want them quieter constantly, and if I wanted this then I'd of obviously just done that. As for him being a member of the team, I am a firm believer in treating everyone the same disregarding their status. Useless information is useless and I pointed this out very nicely after the first reply yet he comes back to further enforce his pointless information which is nothing to do with a fan controller.

This isn't a personal opinion thread on all things, this is a thread on helping another forum member decide on a fan controller, it's like asking for cookies and the person giving you cake because they personally prefer that. Maybe I should of named the thread, "I want a fan controller but people, please try and give me reasons not too"

How in anyway was his information useful or related to my question about fan controllers and if the information wasn't useful first time round, hey let's try it again?

How do you expect me to act after being perfectly civilized after my first reply?

And to clarify, I talk perfect sense as I said "if I wanted to permanently down volt my fans then would" meaning, if that was the case then I would of just done that and I wouldn't be here now and I wouldn't of created the thread looking for advice/expertise on fan controllers. Now if we could please get back to the original post about choosing a fan controller that would be greatly appreciated.
