Hi,

I'm just away to order parts for my watercooling setup. I'll be running 7 fans in total, 3 on a PA120.3, 2 on a black ice 240, and 2 92mm on the rear. I was originally going to go for 2 Noctua's on the rear and use the Blackfire4 Kameleon's for the rads. I tried finding a review and the only one that came up was a while ago and they scored a 0!!!:o Has anybody used them and if so, could you comment on if you are happy with them. If not it'll probably be Xilence Pro's. A pic of either lit up would be nice if someone has any.:)

Cheers.

I would be the person who scored them 0....

First of all, each of the fans seemed to have slightly different colour LED's in them. Then after about a month of use almost all of them died.

Yeah, totaly. Do you think it was just teething problems? On paper they look quite appealing and price isnt too bad but they will be run 24/7 for 2 weeks at a time, minumum, so reliability is an issue.

They could well have got better now. It was about 2 years ago I last used them. The only reason I've avoided them since is that it was a total of 5 fans i had problems with, so it was hard to put it down to bad luck

Agreed. Well, i'll see if there's any other opinions out there but i'm swayed towards the Xilence Pro's now unless you can suggest a better alternative that is still uv/led blue?

Both the SilenX LED fans and Thermaltake Thunderblade's are really good. Have used both in various builds and not had one die on me. Neither are UV tho.

You could also look for the Yate Loons in UV blue with Blue Leds. They move alot of air and are pretty quiet, and Yate Loons are highly thought of.

+1 on Thunderblade's... They really do kick out some air!

I have had Blackfire fans in the past. There are built very poorly, and shortout on the case sometimes.

Also, as Jim said, the LEDs are different in each fan.

Edit: Oh, and they are loud as sin.

Right, decision made. SilenX Fan Ixtrema Pro. 72 CFM at only 1400rpm with a mere 14dBA. Pretty dear at just under £14 each but you get what you pay. Cheers guys.:)
