Fallout 76 Heavily Discounted Less Than Two Weeks After Launch

It's a total rip off, and I now know why.

Apparently when Bethesda bought the rights to Fallout from Interplay they did not buy the rights for the online game (I knew this already, you may not have). When they took Interplay to court to force the rights out of the MP version out of them they were, apparently, given a deadline to release the game before they had to hand it back.

And, as if by chance, that deadline was apparently starting to approach really fast.

So that's 'yer Fallout 76 in a nutshell. It's a rushed, unfinished game.

Bethesda were apparently refusing refunds, citing "You have downloaded it" as the reason why not to give people their cash back but apparently they have seen the error of their ways now that they are facing a class action lawsuit because they released a broken game that doesn't work properly.

If Activision can be taken to court over a game, Bethesda are far from immune from the same.

It almost seems like its an alpha version where only a sandbox model is available at the moment.

Yup it's Fallout 4 with a new map and pretty much nothing else, apart from the ability to allow more than one player in.

In other words it has been rushed to muff.

I gotta say I am finding this whole scenario rather compelling and intriguing, given that I really couldn't give two shakes about it. What I am interested in is what they do now, and for the next year or so.
