FAH Advanced controls: %GPU setting not working?

Game Over

I am folding with my AMD 6950, and with the new update it folds fine. One issue I am having is the setting in the FAH advanced controls tab, to set the % of your GPU you want as your max that FAH can use. Just to keep the temps a little lower and fan just a little quieter, I set it to 80%. But it seems to run my card at the standard 99% regardless of what I set the FAH control to. I even tried setting it to 10% and my card still runs as warm and loud and my Afterburner window still says the card is at 99%. I am wondering if this is more of an issue with the card itself, maybe this is just how it runs. Even when gaming, regardless of the game or how high or low I set visuals, the card always seems to run at 99%.

No big deal if I can not change the settings, I will still fold, but would rather keep a window open so it runs nice and cool when I do so.

Fire up Catalyst Control Center and see what it says there.

Afterburner hasn't always been accurate with load percentages in my past experiences with it.

I pulled up Catalyst but did not see anything there showing work load, but did pull up a separate PC monitor app and it is saying same thing about the high GPU usage.

A bit off topic, but did they get AMD Folding to a reasonable point yet? It's not worth the power draw to turn on my 6950, as it eats a whole core on my 2500K and chews up another 180 watts for ~7k PPD, last I checked.

Figured out how to control the GPU % being used.

So I have the control set to run only off of the GPU and leave the CPU alone.

In the advanced controls there are 2 sliders, one for CPU% to use and one for GPU% to use. I kept moving the GPU slider around trying to get it to stop using 100% but no luck, Today I messed with it again and put it to 20% and it worked! I decided to bump it up a little more and when I went to control slider for the GPU I noticed it was at 80%? What? then I happened to glance at the CPU slider and noticed it was at 20%.

So not only did I accidentally slide the CPU to 20% rather than the GPU, but by doing so also found that the CPU slider is controlling the GPU usage. A glitch but Now I have control of the GPU work load now. Double checked to make sure the CPU was not being worked and it was not.

So for anyone else with same issue, try playing with the other slider.
