with the -smp flag the number of cores is only necessary if you want to use fewer cores than what's available, the client defaults to using all cores.

- verbosity 9 is the most verbose or wordy the the log file will be, without it alot of the log statements are not displayed hence less information in the log file

Ive just ditched -advmethods as well on both machines

dont think it'll make alot of difference on my old dualcore but we'll see
