F@H Rig

I want to make a dedicated rig for F@H since I've now back into it.

But on and around my desk, i have very little space available for a atx build.

So my idea was to build on using a Mini-itx board or a micro atx board and the case would be like HTPC cases.

This is what i have chosen so far:

Silverstone SG07B (includes 600w psu)

Asus P8H61-I 1155 board

ntel Celeron Dual Core G530 2.40GHz

4GB Mushkin Silverline DDR3 1333mhz

I already have a 250gb HDD for it and all that is left is a GPU

I was thinking something like a cheap GTX 260 or something along that line.

There you have it peeps. Feel free to suggest any changes if you can think of any and also which gpu would be ok?

Im not going to buy all the parts in go, im going to slowly start collecting them, possibly try and find used parts if possible just to keep costs down, if anything, the case would be new and rest can be used.

Is that case not a little bit overboard for a dedicated folding rig?

yeah, it guess it is, im looking for something that looks good as well as it performs. It needs to have good airflow too, any other you might think are good?

I thinks i will got with the SG05 since it has a 120mm intake fan at the front

They both have a 120 at the front. They are basically the same chassis, but have a different facade. The SG05 airflow is meant to be slightly better as its not as restricted with the front cover. There are also versions that have black interiors and 450w PSU's.

i didn't read that bit

I do prefer the SGO5 front, very simple and much more better to look at aswell.

I have seen it in white so i might to pick that one up

That is just awesome, I think I've come across this one, its the one with a all-in-one water cooling like a corsair h50 right?

Damn, i wish funds weren't this tight, i would start buying this from now, but i guess i can save and hopefully save a buck or two when the time comes. Probs get a few bits n bobs from USA when i head there in summer

That looks lovely. The only thing they could improve is to have the slot for the dvd on top, which would leave the front completely clean. It would look very macish then...

yup, that would have been the better option or even to have it in the same place as the original FT03, at horizontal rather than vertical. Thats the only flaw i see or even completely remove the drive and bundle in a sleek, stylish, slim optical drive
