did i expect to much from crossfired 5870's , below is a few benchmarks but i feel they could be better

. i had to reinstall 10.12 driver around 6 times before crossfire would work , i feel i should have waited for the 6970 instead of getting a second 5870

I think your cpu can't handle it, only 12k cpu score, that almost nothing, now i'm not an expert at this but if i were you i would just put in a better cpu, or do some proper overclocking..

Definately to much info to handle its bottle necking the performance.

List your full system specs. It really looks like your CPU is holding you back or something isn't configured right. I score about 27k CPU score in Vantage (PhysX off) with an i7 930 @ 4.4GHz.

Edit: Can you post your actual Vantage compare too?

hmm, well looking at other Vantage results, your results look on par with everyone else. Looks like that Phenom II is really holding you back. My CPU (4.2GHz i7 930) score is higher than a PII 955 @ 6GHz according to what I've found in the orb.

I really wouldn't have expected that. If you want your 5870's to really show their strength, looks like you will need to upgrade your CPU.

I'm no expert but from reviews I chose the I7 950. But I don't even know if it'll work on your motherboard. You should be able to get an i7 950 for under £250.

Good luck mate
