EVGA GeForce GTX 460 EE or XFX 6850 Black Edition (Dual Fans)

Hi all,

A friend had a 5770 and sold it and is now looking for a new gpu. He is asking which is better out of the following evga 460 ee and xfx 6850 black. I told him gtx would be better. What do you think, I said I'll ask around before I give him a final answer. He mainly does video encoding, autocad, photoshop and gaming.

Should he wait to see what Nvidia will release? I saw a leak about a gtx 560 in mid January.

i asked the same yesterday, everyone told me to go with the gtx, i get mine tomorrow so i can tell you my opinion yet

The 6850 performs along the lines of a 5830. The 460 is up there with the 5850 and comes with Physx and CUDA.

It also costs less (the 460).
