EVGA 680i or Asus P5n32-E SLI

I am looking to get either an EVGA 680i or an Asus P5n32-E SLI.

Just wondering which you think is best to overclock a C2D E6600 on.

I would personally get the 680I But i heard from a freind that you have to get like a T1 or A1 revision, I have no clue what i am talking about right there, but I am going to get the 680I LT soon

Thats the one I was thinking of getting.

The T1 and the A1 ive also heard about but it comes in a bundle so it doesnt look like ill have any choice!!!!!

680i is a heffa to get running smoothly I have this board and I can honestly say WOOW!

I would say it is more reliable.

There are so many features to keep the board in good nick.

And overclocking is AWESOME!

Personally if I was going for a 680i board, I'd get one from a manufacturer who is known to release BIOS updates regularly. The 680i is still still very much immature hardware, and is going to need those regular BIOS updates.

At this moment in time I'd rather have the P5n

Do you think the asus will be more reliable in the long run?

Which motherboard has had the least amount of problems in the hard ware, becuase i do not what to be sending the board back if it has got a manufacturing fault.

I have found ASUS to be a very good company and there hardware to be complety stable.

Even if you do get a duff board.. ASUS will sort you out.. awesome customer care.

just wondering, does 1T mem timing work on your IN9 Kemp?

a friend of mine has one, but when he sets 1T in the bios, it still boots up with 2T

i do quite like my asus p5n32-e sli, it has no probs with a 400 fsb and 4x1gb of mem, but i'm finding myself looking for a good board to use with a quad core now

Also does anyone know if either of them have a world wide warrenty or whether it is just from the place you bought it from.

Something to think about, Robump... ABIT and ASUS are usually better because they don't just go with the reference board, they tweak it for better performance, reliability, aesthetics, etc, which is why most people go with them. Didn't like my EVGA 680i (reference board) at all, went back to my ABIT AW9D... happy again. I'm leery of reference boards from now on.

I have the Asus P5N32 SLI ive over clocked it a bit but nothing outrageous, i find the intel chipsets easier to overclock for some reason......
