error when opening office 2007 docs

i downloaded the conversion file and everything i was told to download but i still get this error

I get the same when I try opening in OpenOffice, even when saved as a 2003 compatible file. Opening in Word 2003 inside Citrix at work seems to work though.

Have you saved the files in compatibility mode for XP/2003?

no i dont think so i save them normally

i had saved them when there was the beta version available

well didnt open on my mobile neither thought it might now trying with open office

no succes well guess il have to redo them again , pretty long thing sine they are all chemistry practicals for the GCSE/ O levels

You could always save as RTF and that should open in pretty much all word processing apps - if i remember correct.

Save them as doc files, or get the office 2003 2007 file compatibility pack, which allows 2003 to open docx files.

i did that but still get the error before i did that they wouldnt open with word
