Are you plugging it into a usb socket on the rear i/o panel of your desktop or into a front hub ?

If it will not work correctly when plugged into the rear i/o panel then I would return it for replacement.

Ok it works in the rear IO but dont in the front and all there is is a USB 3 extension cable running from the back to front so using the same USB socket it doesnt work WTF? uSB 2.0 works in the front USB 3.0 socket and the USB 3.0 tick is working in the front USB 2.0 sockets the only thing not working is

Front USB 3.0 socket wont work with 3.0 Flash drive.

either the chipset the front panel 3.0 is hooked to is at fault, the cable to I/O is faulty or

the socket on the I/O is faulty. and since the rear panel is grounded internally, the possibilty

of a grounding issue exists. i'd heard alot of case manufacturers had front I/O issues in

2.0/3.0, even to the extent that the issue "damaged" there perf. i'd contact the motherboard,

case and drive manufactures in that order. you know someone gunna blame the other for

the problems. is your 3.0 a pass-through cable system or motherboard header connection?

Ok, so it looks like your flash drive is good. Try removing the usb extension cable and remaking the connections.

the motherboard is fine all USB 3.0 work its only the extention/front IO that doesnt work ive contacted coolermaster strange that usb 2.0 works in it though.

to clarify

Motherboard = FINE

Flash Drive = FINE

Front IO/Extension = NOT FINE

your front panel gets the signal from the mobo. like fan headers they burn out

or get distorted. the 2.0 and 3.0 signals are piped on two different lines.

It could be either, but, you are narrowing it down. Most manufactures of usb devices do seem to hint that they should be plugged into the hard wired sockets on the rear i/o rather than into a hub.

At least when Coolermaster get back to you, you have tried various things and will have answers if they ask anything.
