EPUK Mav Cracks 41k in 3dM03

Congrats mav, excellent milestone, but would it not be easier to have posted this in the other 3d03 thread you just posted, and edit the title

Thanks guys.

Looking back you may be right, but I thought (in all the euphoria) that another milestone and EPUK 1st deserved it's own thread.

But if I knew I was gonna crack 41k as quickly as I did (Pinto was my inspiration) then I would not have started the 40k thread....... confused of Redditch :?

Cheers guys,

I think without watercooling, 900mhz is the best you can expect from the ram on air (these chips run hot, very hot).

When I say watercooling I refer to the Alpha or DD blocks that you can buy from EPUK that cool the ram as well. Paassive cooling to go past 900mhz requires something like OCZ 'sinks with a decent fan blowing on them at a rapid rate of knots.

Gonna try for a bit more than 700mhz core clock today, but think it's already close to the limit without volt mods, then I think maybe 750mhz is possible.

Should hopefully improve on the 06 and 05 score too :)

A little birdie tells me these cards are getting mods next week :D

Looking forward to see results with them modded up :D Pitty your FX is bugged though :(

It was brought to my attention earlier today that Scorchio will be in possession not only of a water chiller but also a pair of volt modded 7900's to play with this weekend.

Couple that with my current best BIOS set-up and teh guy will be trouncing my scores shortly.

Interesting, but I hope you realise you'll soon have some serious contenders when we power up our Extreme 9600SE's for the upcoming competition...
