Sai , Turion and Venice , both serve different purposes. While Turion is supposed to run cooler , taking less power , kill centrino :D , Venice on the other hand is just an upgrade ( and what an upgrade ! ) for the AMD Athlon 64 lineup.

The benefit of turion's low power consumption and heat output will come while people overclock , but they were designed with laptops in mind , so it will be the same scenario all over again as it was with the XP-M processors.

But honestly , why go socket 754 for pci express when you can go 939 with pci express , hell Turion prolly costs more than a Venice .

Although for someone who has a DFI NF3 UT board , Turion will be a breath of fresh air , either than or the AMD DTR or Truemobile chips(64w powerconsumption). :yumyum:

Hope this helped explain a few things :)
