Hi guys, today my vista have downloaded new update, after computer restart was saying that Windows has beed changed without authorisation anyone else had it(system didnt start was stoping on the login screen)? i had enough struggling , went back to XP (install it and update it in 1hr 20 min;])after 4 months of using vista already forgot how fast computer can be ..

Iv had no end to the amount of problems with vista, always reformatting for simple errors that just seem impossible to get rid of.

I think i may have to get back on XP but i simply dont like the look of it anymore... Vista has style and class, and mmmm...gadgets!!!

Why does everyone seem to be having problems with Vista? I have had only 1 or 2 problems in nearly a year now :), but they were all my fault. I edited the TCPIP and registry for faster downloading and packet flow for Torrents. Bluescreened and no safe mode or anything :), thank god Samsung have a nice little backup Windows that replaced the file:D.

I have been getting a lot of FPS lag with smoke on any game :o, I used to be able to view smoke on XP with my old computer. I installed Vista and I kept lagging when ever smoke in a game was near, I get the same on my laptop :(. Although I get 100-250 FPS on COD4 but all of a sudden get 30fps lol.

Vista sucks for games seems my fps on opengl games seems to be really jumpy 10-100-60-125-100-10 etc.... Hard to play :(.

I''m using Vista x64 with 4gb of DDR3 and its amazing, no problems I haven't been able to fix in 5 minutes or less, except one.

Might just be because its x64, but I've not been able to get a working wireless device to save my life (and I've tried 5 until now). Annoying thing is on the sites they claim they work

That's my view. I've had almost zero problems and the ones I've had have been 3rd party issues.

Vista 64 feels like a proper implementation or Vista, 32bit is terrible. 64bit is seriously awesome with 4GB, I will not be switching back

64 bit, 4gb ddr2 and no issues at all!

Just set up my mates pc with XP and it is giving me no end of trouble. Thinking about putting vista on there for him...

You mean Windows Vienna.

And to all the Vista likers, yea umm 4gig right there. Seriously, 4gig of DDR3 will cure the sluggishness in games any day of the week. My RAM at 450mhz actualy gets the lowest score so far under Vista. I have a horrible problem in x64. After i download all the updates i cant rename files!! Gives me a silly error all the time. 32bit i can only use 3gig of ram but that dosent help my game lag.

Bah, bring on Vienna. I dont have any major issues with Vista besides that its slow. You have to have a very up to date PC to run it decently. By up to date i mean fast dual core, 4gig of ram at least, and at least an 8800 series card.

You mean Windows 7....

It isnt that slow really considering the amount of stuff in it - also considering compatability (biggest problem imo)

Games arent too bad - some worse than others

I just feel it bogs down too quickly and yes 64bit is the only way to go in vista

The same thing happened when Win 95 came out, then when XP came out...2GB was the hot-spot for XP and we've hardly had that for a long time have we?

I'm not a Vista fanboy, I just know that the OS feels more responsive than XP 32bit with my PC. It's not like I can't go back to XP, I just don't want to

Ah i didnt know they had changed the name back over to Windows 7. Thought final was Vienna. I always thought Vienna was kinda funny casue the sausages in a can lol.

XP x86 is awesome for me, Vista x86 is what im using now and its really slow in games. Id use x64 Ultimate but i have that folder problem. It is much quicker and responsive for applications than XP but XP still has better game performance. I find once you get the hang of it the networking is alot easier in Vista. I just dont like how they did a few things but im getting over it really and finding it dosent really matter.
