i've always been a fan of AMD, and ATi, but look at my rig now

intel are better overclockers, and atm, ruling the roost, however, i like AMD's efficiency, there processors run really cool, and use very little power...which is good

i guess it depends if you want extreme speed and extreme electricity bill, or slightly slower, and more money in your pocket

Call be a fanboy but I think AMD chips are better, intel's chips sound stressed and in my view behind times.

Probally be a quad core AMD.

No space for spare cables however this is easily sorted by moving the bays about like I have.

Side door is a little flimsy nothing major but a niggle.

noise..yes..on high its noisy very but i dont mind

and dust, oh my gawd it intakes dust like a whore intakes coc....

Well only run mine on high lol but I know a lad who runs them on low and they're very quiet the most noise comes from the 120mm fans so you could have the top on high and not notice it.

And the side door is solid don't get me wrong just I feel a better quality metal could have been used, don't worry it won't snap in half but I won't put it under any load either.

What sort of scores do you guys expect I think last time I ran 3dmark I hit about 5,100

Honestly i think you can get more out of your machine. I have gotten 5695 on 3dmark06 with my single core proccy. On my X2 i got alot more becasue it gives you a higher score. (Alot higher than 1000 lol)

She runs what I need her too although new rig's planned for November time

Exactly. You dont need top of the line to max out all of todays DX9 games now. Ive been so lazy ive left my X2 in the closet and this 3000+ OCed has done fine with maxing all games out. Also, bout that time AMD should have their Barcelona line out so C2D might not be a choice lol.

For all you peeps wanting the 900 maybe you should check out the P190. That is one HE|| of a case for the price!

This was with clocks slightly up on my x1950 pro 512MB, default on the 3GB Ram and Cpu as I just don't see need in OC'ng when it runs my stuff and the OC on the gpu is down to ATi OVerdrive which keeps it safe for me

For all you peeps wanting the 900 maybe you should check out the P190. That is one HE|| of a case for the price!

My next pc is likely to be in that case or another Antec 900, however if I do use another Antec 900 I shall mod all the fans to red/green just for kicks

Im guessing then that my 7950GT is just that much better than the X1950 pro Glad i didnt trade it.

I need to update drivers actually and run it again just noted I'm not even using 7.6 yet

Can't believe how clean your desktops are! I've got about a million desktop icons and stuff cluttering up the system tray. Noticing you guys aren't using any Firewalls though or Anti-Virus stuff, they offline systems or you guys got a hardware firewall or something?

I've AVG on my Vista install and have bang upto date drivers, I only use Xp when gaming normally was installing some games today hence my posting while on xp.

Lol thanx on the score and desktop. Im OCD about alot of things, and being clean in the computer land and RL is a must. But my screenie is from my second hard drive which yes, has no internet going to it at all. Only internet it sees is online gaming when i can. As for my net drive, same way. Nothing to hide, and no reason for anybody to hack me. If so, all well i got nothing on my machine worth stealing. I keep to clean sites so i dont worry about spyware, adware, malware, or virus's.

I defragmented the HD, cleaned registry updated drivers so.... yeah I think that needed doing

Yea thats alot better dude. Makes me wonder why my card isnt getting an SM3.0 score like that though :/

I did seriously ramp the clocks up big time for it, went on BF2142 aftewards got about 45minutes into the game and locked up so dropped clocks back down a bit.
