I have been searching hight and low for a proper yellow led solution, but all I have found are advertised as yellow but are more amber. But I have just come across EL wire, has any body any experience with it ?
My idea is to have 2 lots of lighting, the yellow EL wire, and the white led's or maybe even wire too. The yellow will be as close to the chassis as possible, with the white in by a few cm's. The idea being that with the EL wire it will just be a soft glow, and the white more of a fill the void light. I think it will look pretty cool.
One more quick thing is they sell 2 types of inverter, to power the wire, one being a small battery pack with 2 x AA's , and the other is a wire in from a 12v source. Would it be possible to wire it into a molex or fan connector, and run off the psu ?
