Hi Guys/Gals,
First post in many on my new build, this is going to be a slow time build over the next 6 months.
The only hardware that is definitive at the sec is as below:
Case - Corsair Obsidan 650D
Noctua NH-D14
OCZ solid 3 SSD x 2 (in RAID0)
Ordered the case today so thought I would start the project log now as I will spend about the next 2 months prepping and modding the case.
Planned mods to the case:
1. Remove both hard drive bays to maximise air flow, create a custom bracket for 2 x SSD drives.
2. Replace the existing side panel window with a light blue acrylic etched window (skull & crossbones)
3. Add a custom grill and fan to the acrylic window
4. Fit LED's to the case (blue LED ones recently reviewed by TTL)
5. Custom paint the case with metalic electic blue paint, with clear coat.
3. Cable management as necessary (like the bit fenix cables)
The next stage will be to decide on the hardware and build accordingly.
