I've always played lots of FPS and have been fairly accurate, be it SP or MP. However lately, when I try to make tiny, precise shots with moving my mouse, it doesn't work out so well.
I have a Logitech G9x. I love it because of the ability to play with the DPI, and it's grip that comes off - allowing you to clean it easily.
One issue I've always had though that my pinky always drags along the mouse pad and it can make it awkward at times. I've had my G9x for a few years now...
But it wasn't until I updated my GPU drivers, NVIDIA, to the latest, that suddenly, I felt it, my mouse is awkward now. I don't have the same precision I used to. I went and check the mouse settings and they remain the same. I've been trying to play CSGO lately and I am god awful at it, from where I used to be intermediate it, though it had been some time since i last played.
But whenever I try to slightly move my mouse, either it doesn't or it violently reacts. I play relatively high DPI, 3200, my modes on it are, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, and 5700. I like to switch to 800 or so for when sniping and that seems to work out well, but I can't turn for shit at that DPI, 1600 barely, but I feel so slow, my reaction times.
So I was thinking of looking at some newer Logitech Mice, perhaps a bigger one to fit my bigger hand, that has a place for both my thumb & pinky, so they don't drag across the mat. As well as one that doesn't have lift off / jitter issues.
It sucks, because I still feel like it's a good mouse, but maybe it just isn't big enough for my hand, adn I know that's weird to say so many years later. I got good use out of it and such, but wondering what the trade up is?
Like, my biggest issue is it doesn't seem smooth now in FPS games - when I try to inch up slowly, it doesn't instantly register, I have to push it with more force, rather than a slow push, or else it won't move.
