It seems like early AMD RX 480 4GB GPUs can be BIOS flashed to an 8GB version, allowing users to potentially double their VRAM capacity for free.

I doubt it will last too long. Basically it would have been all hands on deck for the 8gb card which is worth more cash, so as soon as they start another line for the 4gb it will be just 4gb.

Issue is as of now there is no way to flash the card because only reviewers got the tools. Sure that will change though
