EA confirms that Mass Effect Andromeda's PC requirements are for 30FPS gameplay

Some proper armchair developer stuff going on in here with little/no understanding of the markets at all, which is disappointing.

That out of the way, it's a bit crappy of EA to drop this as a 30fps requirements, they know better than this... 30fps on PC isn't acceptable whole-sale, but with things like Gsync I guess you could argue it's passable these days.

No it's not passable. It's like watching ghosting going on. Unpleasant even with Gsync, albeit better than without Free/G-sync

It really makes me wonder exactly how well it will run on consoles, especially on the PS4 Pro and XB1.

TBH I think that devs should consider performance over visual fidelity, as even simple games can look beautiful with the right visual style.

To me this looks like it will be another Ghost Recon Wildlands, yes it will look great, but good luck trying to play it at the highest settings on anything other less than a GTX 1080 SLI setup.

I do agree that FreeSync+GSync does take away the need for many PC gamers to require a steady 60+, though it must be remembered that most PC gamers just use standard displays.

Heh, I preordered the the deluxe one, I Don't think these specs are really THAT bad, I mean the 660 is what, 5 years old now?...

It's pretty annoying that they don't provide recommended specs for 4K though considering they've already posted a bunch of 4k gameplay videos..

hmm, I'm guessing these are probs 4K frames:
