Dying light lag spikes

Just wondering guys are any of you experiencing lag spikes on dying light?

It seems to be running silky smooth with gsync on and every now and then when I'm being attacked it will suddenly get really laggy.

Just want to rule out my machine as it's freshly built and should chew through this game with ease

I finished it some time ago, never had any issues with framerate, thats on 4770k and gtx970

I've been heavily into this and do get the odd lag. It's weird, it kinda stops then carries on.

Great game though ! looks amazing at 4k.
