Yea except he blew an entire scene's budget on the one model :). (He is tesellating with not so high body tris count)

That said as someone who has been working with UE4 for a while, it is a fantastic platform to build things on.

Also checkout CryZENx's videos in UE4.

It's impressive, gonna be a good 5 - 7 years before we start seeing characters with this level of detail in them in game mainly due to hardware not being good enough "yet" :)

GTA V characters are roughly 25,000 polys, NPCs around 15,000.
The Witcher 3 characters around 35,000 to 40,000, Geralts face is 6,000 alone.
Compare this to Half-life 2 characters 5,000 - 8,000 or Crysis 8,000 polys and you can see how far we've advanced.

Epic's Paragon characters look very good. They claim that the same assets are used on the PS4 version of their game, which LODs they use is another story. I'm eager to see.

This isn't that impressive tbh. Only his face is great. It's also the only thing in the render that has tessellation on it. Everything else is much lower poly counts too(this is from the author btw) and imo look similar to Geralt's armor. If everything had tessellation applied then I would be more impressed as well as upping the poly count on everything else too.The face and details are imo the only draw dropping thing and also according to him doesn't really have that much polys in it either, just extensive use of tessellation.
