I use a 30" Dell monitor with a 5870 GPU, i used a dvi-d lead, and do have a display lead as well, also inc a hdmi, which is the best lead to use and why, and what the difference is...cheers!
6 of 1 really, both use digital signals, IIRC the dual-DVI thing gives the highest res, HDMI and DisplayPorts are variants, HDMI is DVI with audio, and display port is HDMI without the sony royaltise
For computer monitors DVI is the best,as there is no need for HDMI unless your monitor has speakers but most ppl use speakers connected to there motherboard, like GavX said HDMI is DVI with audio but as ur using speakers you dont need the audio
Its not needed but it helps if you monitors have them so you can just use a mini display port to display port cable instead oh having to use addaptors like mini display to dvi/hdmi then dvi/hdmi to screen
