Just got my DT770's yesterday. I've used it for a couple of hours now.

And from the beginning, i noticed a noticeable static sound from the right can whenever its quiet bass/low freq.
That was when using with a Xonar STX 64-300ohm gain. Put it on my phone, even more noticeable.

Is this normal? or defective?
Should i RMA? or needs a severe burn in?

Thanks

RMA.

Who did you buy them from? Amazon? If so, put forward the return request, then call them up, and they'll Prime you another set out straight away, then you can send yours back when you get them.

It's most likely a loose connection or something inside, or something isn't earthed properly - albeit, very uncommon for brand new headphones.

I bought it on ebay :( from an approved seller, not a private one.
If only it was cheaper on amazon, i would have bought it off there.

Thanks for the reply. Ill contact them right away

Are you sure the seller is a legit approved seller?

Just asking because I bought a pair of Bose IE3 earphones from a seller who claimed to be legit that turned out to be fake. I could tell from listening to them they were fake, I confirmed with Bose by sending them pics and the serial number and confirmed they were indeed fake.

There is a lot of counterfeiting when it comes to ear/headphones on Ebay and not all that say they are legit actually are.

All good then, you should have no probs getting them replaced or repaired. Just have to be careful these days.

Yeah, hopefully. Its just a headache when something like this happens, more waiting instead of actually enjoying them already
