DONT BUY FROM SCAN COMPUTERS!!!

I did phone Trading Standards who filed a complaint and sent me to the letter template.. I agree I'm not a soft touch but the simple way to do it without getting wound up was simply to vote with my wallet and never use them again. And I won't. Once bitten ETC.

Scan are breaking the law quite fragrantly and I am sure it will absolutely bite them on the ass sooner or later. I know it did with OCUK (who tbh were nowhere near as bad !) and they have really shifted things into gear now.

Scan just seem to have taken a step backward though. It's almost like they want to make all the money of mass sales but not adhere to the rules. PCworld overcharges for a service. You go in, get to walk around a lovely well dressed well laid out store and then you get fleeced. But, my point to all of that is you actually get a service. Scan provide no service and it's faceless so there are very few overheads.

Gingersix on the other hand? sh*t. I ordered something and the woman who runs the place must have OCD. She emailed me three times to make sure my order was OK and it only costed me £35. lol.

hmm £15.00 for delivery cost back to them. did he not pay for that him self cos if he expected them to pay delivery back then hes living a dream world pmsl.

And the original shipping. They sting you for both ways.

THEY want to be the ones to walk away without losing a penny putting it all onto you. As for their T&C? or any T&C? rubbish. They are not allowed to make up laws and then act as a force unto themselves. It doesn't work that way.

Personally can not fault scan. Used them for years never had to RMA - never had a problem. Scan and Aria two of the best computer stores in the UK.

This guy has obviosly just come on this site, maybe even a rival company like Overclockers or Aria to put Scan down...........

Scan provides a great service......... I have always got my stuff on time and had to RMA a few things at no cost to me and got another item no problem....

If this post is completely true [which it really doesnt look like it is] You either got scammed by a fake Scan website [lol] or there was no problem with the item and you paid someone else £15 and not Scan because they dont and have never done that.

Even if it was true, I highly doubt that you would make up an account on a random forum you have never been on before to tell everyone about it in the way you have......................

Strange how this has been bumped, just as I am going through a nightmare of an RMA with scan over a faulty 6870.

why is everything a conspiracy with you?

I buy pretty much everything from scan and have never had a problem, had one item that came faulty (faulty OEM) which they replaced with no issues.

Scan have been nothing but good for me so far. Hopefully it stays that way next time I purchase from them
