Doing first build, question about Ryzen

So like, here's roughly what I want...

R5 1500
RX 580
8GB RAM
Air cooled

Do the x series cpus still have that annoying boost feature that makes fans go mental? Come to think of it, I never even checked if there was a plain non-boost 1500.

Heard some people had trouble finding fans to fit the Ryzen sockets. Any precautionary info that could help me out in advance?

There is no R5 1500. There is only the 1500x. But to answer the question, yes. ALL X versions of the Ryzen lineup have the +20C offset.

Personally if you are looking at the 1500x(or that price point rather) I would really recommend putting down a little more money for a 1600. Much better value. Otherwise the 1400 would get my recommendation.

I thought Ryzen master and most bios were ignoring the offset now? But yes I agree if the OP can afford it I would go with the R5 1600 all day long. You get 2 more cores for not much more money and it comes with a better stock cooler that will last him till he can save up for something better. Also best of luck trying to find an RX 580. That's what I was originally gonna get but gave up and went with a 1080 since it was literally all I could find a couple weeks ago.

Ryzen Master might have that now. I do not personally know as I do not have a Ryzen CPU. But from the factory it has it which is correct, he would need to download that utility to address it. But again I am not sure.

I have a Ryzen 7 1700 so I can't even verify. I know in one of his videos TTL mentioned it so maybe ask him directly.
