Does this seem like a good 920?

Core voltage set to 1.1v. I have pushed it to 3.2ghz so far on that (although I haven't yet done a long prime95 test.)

Also, full load it runs at just under 70C, which seems a little hot. Gonna re-do the thermal paste this weekend.

If it isn't anything special, I think it just shows how awesome the i7s are :D

i think that may be normal my friend's core i7 runs at 70c load with stock cooler and 57c idle on all cores do you use stock cooler to reach 3.2 GHz?

after installing the cooler master V8 the max temp i hit is 52c clocked at 3.8 on a 920 before the v8 i was also in the 70c + anyone want a oem i7 cooler?

Well that is not a stock cooler >< However, I am currently running 3.4GHz at about 63C full load. This should come down even more once the new thermal paste has had time to break-in.

D0 is better than C0:)

Yup, I have a D0.

I am running 3.89Ghz now at 74C, gonna lap it soon :D. Getting to the higher clocks I can see that this 920 isn't anything special. But damn, I love this thing.

You seem to have similar chip to mine, although mine seems a bit more hot. My ambient temp is quite high too, maybe thats the reason. What is your voltage at 3.89GHz? Is that with or without tubo?

I am at 4GHz with turbo, 1.275V load temps are 77C.. Been running Prime stable for 10-20 mins, but every now and then i get error, so i need to work on that.

dude your load temps 77c man that is high whats your ambient man,i would say to stay around the 60c load mark,i would get a TRUE oer your noctua

not that bad tbh, the noctua isn't much different to the TRUE

push/pull TRUE vs push/pull noctua

TRUE would win,i am not saying the noctua is a crap cooler its just not as good as the TRUE
