does Nvidia GTX 780 Ti 4GB even exist?

I sent the guy a message through eBay (no red squiggly line for whatever reason) and received this;

"Hi - I bought the card from Taiwan as an GTX780Ti through Aliexpress and that is what is marked on the card. There are a number of companies that make cards with this chipset, so I guess they don't all look the same. I've no reason to suppose that it isn't what it says. Unfortunately, I can't test it on my HP Xeon workstation as it's not compatible. What I am going to do is change the listing to 'Returns Accepted' in case it is found to be not as labelled. "You obviously have nothing better to do with your life so be my guest and waste your time. You are, no doubt, obnoxious to others and those around you as you have been to me. There's no way I would have wanted to sell an item that wasn't genuine. It was sold to me as I described it and when I had time to investigate the doubts raised, helped by another eBay member who knows about these cards, I removed it from sale."

To be fair, him buying it from Alixpress as a 780 Ti sounds reasonable. Clearly no one is going to admit to scamming, but that site is just as dodgy and he may have been a victim of a scam himself.

That said, what workstation doesn't have a PCI-E 16x slot? That must be one old PC. Or did he mean it doesn't have sufficient power connectors, which I doubt with a single 6pin. It being 'not compatible' with his PC just sounds shady to me.

Either way this is definitely not a genuine 780 Ti so he shouldn't sell it as such, even if he bought it as one. I'm just not sure yet if he's a scammer that deserves a swift kick up the arse, or just really stupid... so stupid that he still deserves a swift kick up the arse :lol:

Lol dude, even if he ain't... it's not hard to actually post the correct name of a product. Or even Google the name and see if what pops up is similar to the product you have.
