Does anyone see competition to the R9 290x or 780ti (Both after mkt versions not stoc

Basically started seeing stuff for the "880" out there and was wondering if there is any credence to the posts? (Ironically if it does come out unless you go with water block from the getgo you'll have to wait for after mkt version just as with the r9 290x or 780ti). The time frame makes some sense in that a christmas release is best and "IF" they release then what would that do to the 780ti price. Should i ignore this at this point and make the purchase?
