I just put my new d14 in my case (690II).My temps when idle are the following:
31,34,37,33.When on intel burn they get up to 61 the hottest core. My processor is 2500k on stock. Do i have to worry about them or is it just a break-in issue?
I have the same case, cooler and chip and those temps are perfectly fine. Mine idles between 35 and 40 then gets to 58-62 on load. Then again mine is overclocked. Which thermal paste did you use and are you running the fans at 12v or 7v?
Try to undervolt it. Auto voltage always uses too much and thus your chip will run hotter. By undervolting you're going to give it less voltage (but enough to make it still run stable) so it there will be less heat output.
I started overclocking. My voltage is currently on 1.168 in the bios but when i run occt it jumps to 1.176 or 1.184. Is that a problem? My cpu is at 4GHz at the moment.
P.S. Another thing i would like to ask is which is better fixed voltage or offset and if offset is the one to go with how to set it up because it's a bit confusing with these numbers. When i go with fixed mode my idle temps get a bit high. Around 40C when idling..
