I just ordered a GTX 980 Ti to replace a pair of Crossfired R7 370's that were very much lacking in the graphics processing power department. I do very minimal gaming but I have a 4K Dell monitor that I use, which really pushed the limits of what the 370's could do in games at 3840x2160. After researching, it came down to either upgrading to an R9 390X or a GT 980 Ti. With the GTX being the more powerful option I felt it a slightly better purchase for "future proofing".
Reading some reviews online though, am I going to be CPU bottlenecked? I am running an FX-8370 @ 4.7ghz. The R9 390X was about $200 less expensive of a card and doesn't stray far behind the GTX. Would that have been a better option? It may not be too late to change my order.....
