Barbarian is considered the strongest class at this current time

I have a wizard, barb and demon hunter all in inferno.

My wizard has 120 hours played with 110k dps. The only thing that needs changing now is the spike damage in inferno with more than 2 people in a party as i actually have people i enjoy playing diablo with lol.

My friends current barb is able to solo act 3 inferno, he has 900 to all resistances aswell.

Wizard has the highest DPS AFAIK. IMO Diablo is all about DPS, you can kite and use enough snares to protect yourself.

My demon hunter blows. My bro has a monk he beat the game 5 lvls lower than i did solo. He seriously beat belial in like 60s on his first go. My crappy dh died like 20 times

I'm on act 3 trying to kill Magdna (or whatever her name is) and keep getting my ass habded to me once I have her down to 20% health left. But I'm enjoying it.

thought it was 3 lol I escaped 3 times on act screens didnt know what is what and sayin spec str vit and res ??? sounds greek to me lol didnt know I could alter any of that I've just gone on and hacked and slashed around a bit and kept what i thought was good gear and either sold the rest or salvaged it to make stuff.

Nothing technical. Just when you purchase new gear, look for high ratings in those attributes and go out your way to look for some on the auction house. Without decent gear you won't stand a chance.

well reworked my skills and passives a tad and went back at her 2nd time she went down easier lol. Now at the water ways in dungar oasis. But really should shower and hit the super market and get that out of the way lol. Otherwise it'll be another week of lunches out or crap in the fridge. Which lunches out will wipe out all the OT I'm doing lol.

I've been playing this game a bit since release

Started with a Barbarian and got bored

then made witchdoctor got bored

then decided to try demon hunter and it seems the most fun play style

then made a monk + a wizard

my main is level56 demon hunter on hell act2

my witchdoctor is level36

others are between 20-30 still on normal mode

can't believe how many gold farmers there are on diablo3 (apparently avg price is $12 per million gold), also can't seem to make much money on AH until you get to level 55-60

so many people put stuff on AH for less than the vendor price aswell

You should be finishing nightmare by lvl 50. I'm 38 right now with a DH and just about done with A2. Buy some gear on the AH if you must, but at 49 A2 should be a breeze.

What skills are you using? I found it much easier to level with my barb when using a 1h weapon and shield.

forgot to add an "I" , I'm on act III , heart of sin , level 50

I use one-hand weapon and shield too but every minute I have to fight 20-30 monsters or more. it became too hard.

weapon :rare dagger 107.2

rare shield 536

magics : ground stomp ,revenge , war cry and eartquake

well its fun no doubt as I said before a good distraction. (my ex moved with my lil girls 10hrs away so its helping me keep my mind off missing them) I got the starter as I mentioned before but when I got full access I had to restart for some weird reason. So yesterday i got to 25-27 cant recall atm lol on my Barb. Just finished Killing off Zull before I hit the sack. I dont know if others do this but I explore the entire area before heading in to the dungeons or main tasks. Picking up little side adventures along the way.

I love the ability to like enter a dungeon or instance and teleport to town sell of and repair and be able to go right back to where I was without a 30min to an hour realtime trek. But answer me this should I be selling my stuff in the AH or just merchant sell for now. Plus is it better to have say a breastplate with AL of 66 and plus 15 str vs a breastplate at AL 79 and a plus 5 str. I myself always considered stats boost more important than AL

Hmm well, people generally salvage the magic items and sell the rare items to a merchant at low levels. Once you reach level 25 I would just sell magic and rares to merchant unless you pick up an item that has very good stats then sell it on the AH for a reasonable price. Once you start getting the decent items then you can sell on the AH for a lot more.

As for the stats question. I would say in general it depends on class, but for a barb you're going to be up close with enemies and going to be getting swamped by them so higher armour would be better suited to a barb. But don't allow your DPS to suffer too much because you will be there for ever. Also regularly increase your vitality for more health.

On a side note something good for barbs is to focus on skills and gear that increase the chance of and healing power of health globes as you will need them.
