Rebuilt my system on air last night and all was fine, noticed that DFI had a new bios out and as I'd a issue with the DFI Splash Screen since installing my X1900 thought it might fix that, used ntune(winflash) to flash the bios as ive done hundreds of times, everything was set at default, reported the flash had gone fine and rebooted nothing just a black screen and all fans on full pelt, tried removing, cmos battery, clearing cmos, removing power supply and even the cpu, checked the cpu this morning thats fine, so its either the board or the vga, i suspect the first, whats DFI's policy about bios chips etc? or anything stupid i may have missed?

Firstly you can purchasea new BIOS chip from DFI if required.

2ndly you can contact animal here on EPUK who can re-flash your chip for you.

Oh and I never use a windows flash tool for DFI - I always use their dos based Diamond Flash (it self installs to a formatted floppy and auto flashes the bios for you).

Hope this helps.
