Ok so here's my problem, I want to start benching my dfi board so I can gain some hardware points on HWbot, but for some reason I can't get my motherboard to boot with my sempron 3200+, I mean I can do it by clearing cmos every time, but as soon as I switch the board off or same changes in BIOS, the thing won't boot and I have four lights. Now if I put my athlon 3200+ in then everything works fine first time, I know my sempron isn't faulty as when I clear cmos and get into windows, I can run prime 95 for as long as I want, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thnx.

It's if I change anything, it doesn't matter what I change, the same thing happens everytime

and its not the battery either, just tried two other brand new ones.

It would seem the "defaults" are not suitable for the processor. Have you tried setting it up all manually? I would go through option by option and make sure they are all correct for the current hardware set up.

I will go through them all again in the morning when I have a chance, I don't understand why the defaults would be unsuitable if it loads into windows with the defaults after I clear cmos, its pretty strange, I'm also led to believe that 4 lights means its hanging on boot, I.E its not booting into the BIOS, I don't understand why this is happening but ill have a look at all the settings in the morning to make sure that none of them are incorrect. Do you think I BIOS flash might help with this?
