dfi chipset fan

Mine sounded liek a helicopter from day one. So i replaced it.

The little blue spikey zamlan HS is great.

yea mine sometimes buzzes(only happened a few times)

it sounds more like grinding to me and god is it horrible lol

afaik its only when under big load(eg. occt)

and it also looses some rpm

any links to replacements would be good too;)

Raging.

it looks a bit big?

did it cause any issue with graphics card mounting?

cause theres only a tiny space between chipset cooler and gpu.

cheers.

Urrm, its nt huge. But bigish. Which version of the Lanparty you got?

Ill take a pic next too a everyday household item for size comparrison now.

Kemps may be a better idea if your worried about grfx cards.

lol nice household item ham

Those Zalman's are sposed to be decent, but you can't help but see how good that Thermalright one would be ;)

the zalman definately looks to tall:(

ile haveto have a search around and see how much the thermalright ones go for

and if theres any other alternatives.

cheers.

On the one that Ham is recommending some people bend the pieces to go around the VC, Kemps is Great if you can afford it, but careful cause there is 2 of them, 1 is straight up and the other (like Kempez recommended) is offset. Kemps also can have a fan attached.

The one that most of the guys with DFIs recommend is the easiest, thats the one that macgamesrule showed.

Yea thats the Evercool that DFI puts on their new AM2 Lanparty boards. I suggest getting that cause its low profile, copper, and guranteed to stay outa your way.

Mine has started to buzz for 1-2 seconds when my computer is first switched on (as it spins up to max rpm). Is that when you guys first noticed there was a problem?

are you sure thats not just the noise it makes when the comp starts because its a loud fan when its on high rpm (when the comp starts)
