What? A headset that detects boredom?! TAEK ME MONEYZ! *Throws money at monitor* In all seriousness though, Dell really is working on a gaming-headset which detects boredom. "What's the use of that?" you may ask yourself. Well, let me tell you: if the headset detects that you're bored, it will adjust the difficulty of the game!

This will work both ways too: if the headset detects a lot of frustration, it could lower the difficulty. Oh my god, it's amazing, isn't it? But wait, we're not done yet!

The headset will also be able to block notifications like incoming e-mails and incoming calls when the user is concentrating. That's what Dell told in an interview with the BBC.

The current prototype doesn't work very well at all, and is only able to correctly assume the user's emotion 50% of the time. According to Dell this is improvable through measuring other factors like heart-rate and blood pressure. Dell thinks that this product will be available around 2017. Are you interested in this?

It'll cost £900 and actually be something from someone else with a logo and a butt tonne of plastic stuck on on it.
(also like how when you image search alienware logo there is alot of Razer stuff as well, just sayin' :^) )

INB4 DELL take over the world with mind control headsets :p

Seriously though, it will be interesting to see how this develops. Don't think i'll be buying one but it will be interesting to see what it will be like.

In the interview Dell said the headsets they're working with are from Neurosky and cost between £60 and £120. They'll probably overprice it a lot indeed

@SieB, yeah I agree! I don't think I'll be buying one too, but it sure is an interesting development in the tech-industry. And I do indeed think Dell will take over the world. Let's form an OC3D-resistance! :D

Yup! ^^^

Complete with software/firmware to upload your thoughts directly to the US Government in real time!! :p
