Define r5 Fan optimization

Yo guys

I'm looking to replace the standart fans of the r5 with stronger, quieter pwm fans.

Current favorite are the noctua reduxnf p14s 1500 pwm. On the sheet it's the best fan but coast a bit.

I also would prefer a all black model. Needing the fans for front and back of the case. If anyone knows better fans, please tell me, don't want to throw money out.

TBH the stock fans are quite good. I cant really reconmend the Redux line from Noctua though, others may say otherwise. Its just my personal opinion. Look at some of the older models from Noctua and just paint them or something.

Some other ones you could replace it with are the Phateks, though the fan blades are white. Plenty of other ones like Bequiet Silent Wings which are all black and very quiet.

I agree that the stock fans do a good job. Sadly they are 3pin and white in colour. I have a noctua nf-f14 1400rpm pwm which does an amazing job but has fitting issues because of the rubber corners. And they're ugly.

I thought that the redux lineup was of the same quality as the standart ones, minus ugly colour and vibration damper.

I spotted the Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilentPRO PK-PS (140mm) on my favorite store. Seems to be quiet good but lacks a bit static pressure compared to the redux and is louder on the sheet.

My target now is to bring a bit aesthetic in to the pc without killing silence and performance. Those fans have to bring air to an 980ti classified and a 6700k@4.5ghz (nhd15).

Is it a windowed case? I have a Define R5 (PCGH Edition so 3 GP14 fans and a solid roof) and am not that impressed with its stock fans. There really anemic with the filters and door in place even @1000rpm the intake is very restricted and noisy. I found the most beneficial change I could do was add a slow Scythe fan internally blowing directly at the GPU something like this, for me it made a huge difference to both cpu and gpu it also lets me run GPU and intake fans slower thus even less noise and its a very cheap solution at 7 euros ;)

I lucked out! My brother in law has a store credit from a return and is giving it to me.

I decided to get noctuas nf-a14 industrial ipp 2000rpm and the chromax dampener in black.

Just aren't sure if I could fit two of them on my nh-d15 because of the pseudo 150 nf-a15 120mm mount for the fans.

The "old" fans will find all a home in my upcoming NAS or will be sold.

Bit expensiv update but those fans will hopefully live for ever. Since they have a large PWM curve i will have my joy setting them up~
