Define "Free"

So MrsVB has just had her birthday a couple of days ago and is looking for a mobile upgrade. Times being really tight we can't afford to get a great one "out the box" so I was looking at contract phones (hilariously expensive but bear with it).

This is a LG with Free 50" TV

This is the same phone with a Free PSP

Now you have to look at the o2 1200 tariff as that's the only one that does both "free" gifts.

With the PSP the tariff is 39.15p/m over 24 months and the Phone is free.

With the TV the tariff is 39.15p/m over 24 months and the Phone is £480.

Now that's not exactly a free gift now is it.

Generally in life I've figured nothing is really free.

When it comes to offers for things that declare themselves as having something "free", I think to myself that they really mean "free - IF".

And ur job at that point is to find out what the "IF" is.

Oh yeah I'm well aware that there is no thing as a free lunch. Hell you can't get a free seat at the table for a free lunch.

If anyone can.. acquire.. a high-end modern phone for a reasonable price, give me a holler.
