decrease fan speed of my cpu cooler hyper tx3

Hi,

I installed a new cooler master blade 92 fan on my cooler but did not fund any extra 4 pin socket so I plugged it into 3 pin socket. now the fan work at 100% about 2800 RPM! is there a way to decrease speed and reduce noise ?

Depending on the motherboard, speed fan, some software that lets you control all fans plugged into the motherboard

If you want to spend some money (dont we all

) could always get a fan controller or voltage resistor cables

On my motherboard the area to control fans is called H/W monitor I'm not sure about others, If you know what motherboard it is that you have then you can check the manual and it will probably have a section showing you how to do it. If you don't have your manual but know the motherboard you can go to the manufacture website and download a PDF of the manual and it will most likely show/tell you where or how to control fan speeds.
