Anyway, if you want to minimize you're ram usage at idle do the following:
- Go to start, and type "msconfig" in the search bar, hit enter
- Go to startup tab and deselect every process you don't need
(i deselected everything exept the virusscanner)
- To minimize the ram usage even further, go to the services tab
- Deselect every service you don't need, but leave all microsoft services running
If the pc does anything wrong after this you have to figgure out witch process/service needs to be ennabled again. As long as you know what you are doing you can't mess anything up with this method.
I minimized the ram use at idle from 1,4 gigabyte to +-1,0 gigabyte by doing this, but the result really depends on witch progams you have installed on you're pc. Performance gain is very little with modern systems since they can handle almost everything with ease....
