Does this have TTL written all over it or what (apart from it not being a 780)?

it would stand out too much against any motherboard, imagine building a system around that. ugh.

Yeah I figured as much. More a play on his love of things being white. This wouldn't necessarily be the hardest thing to match with though, at least not if you utilized something like the white LV vengeance memory (mine overclocks to at LEAST 1866), white/black/gray cable braiding, and a mostly black motherboard... but that one is kind of hard to do unless you were to go AMD and take the UD3, or go Intel with the Asrock Extreme6 or the MSI Xpower.

I like the white cooler, but the pcb is just not my cup of tea.

There have been a few white motherboards over the years. I remember wanting a socket A soyo dragon in white back in the day. Sapphire and soltek also made a few too.
