d 14 with one fan?

Hi guys :) had my d14 for a fair while now and i'm considering removing the 140mm fan in the middle. It's oddly loud compared to the rest of my case. the 120mm is fine just the 140mm. Ive been through 2 cases with it and ive changed all the fans to corsair af120 and a spectre pro. What kind of temp difference will i see? Is it worth buying another fan to go in there?

It won't make a huge difference I don't think providing you move the NF-P12 to the middle.
A lot of people run it with just the P14 in the middle and use the P12 as a case fan, so you should be fine with a single one. Maybe expect around 5 degrees higher temperatures? But that isn't really significant IMO.

What voltage are you running the NF-P14 at? I found my old one too loud at 12 and 7 volts, but it was fine at 5v.
Maybe get a 5v reducer?

Im using the splitter and 7v reducer that came with it. It's never gone over 60 degrees after a few hours of prime/ folding so it should be fine?

Just took it out and it made it a bit quieter but now its my 500 gb wd blue drive thats making all the noise :/ ssd it is then

I ran mine with the 14 in the middle for nearly two years and got 1c hotter than running both.

So yeah, it's fine :)

There are plenty of dual tower coolers that only have a fan in the middle and they seem to just fine, so you'll be okay :)
