Awesome. Thankfully they will keep going on this and keep making it better.
I kinda knew this was going to happen. You can't remaster a game in six months flat.
Indeed, When I played it on a friends Epic account I was quite shocked by the abysmal performance.
The fact they even pulled it off is a miracle to be fair.
They were hiring coders what? six months ago?
It's a shame they didn't go the full remake route with Cryengine5, Full on photogrammetry, Really push the boundaries on RT, Lighting, Physics, Tessellation, Water simulation, Foliage, Gun physics and sounds etc... Would've been immense.
They don't have the budget. Their engine just hasn't caught on sadly, and they have thrown pretty much everything into it.
1440p high settings RT performance mode.
Up to 40% more fps with the update 1.2.
My gpu draw 50 watt less. They have done some magic.
However one core is still over utilized.
Vega FE liquid and r1800. But apparently it is more a cpu optimization than gpuWhich GPU ?

Have just tested this patch on the RTX 2080 Ti. It has a huge impact on the game.
Fewer stutters, better framerates (not so much in the FPS department, but loads in stability terms). Very happy overall.
It is less CPU limited now, but it is still very CPU limited. Had the game released like this, I would have had a lot less to complain about. I really hope that future patches can address the game's remaining issues.
For whatever reason, the controls also felt better, but that could be the lack of framerate stutters.
Seems all launches are rough these days. SW Squadrons needs some bug fixing and VR patches, Horizon Dawn good now, but rought start, etc etc
I just wonder if we have become the QA testers knowing that we will bend over, and take it, complain, let them fix it and then sit content knowing that we saved them crunch time for pre release tests.

Here's my report on the latest patch.

The ray tracing stutter is gone, and the CPU performance is a lot higher in some areas. There is still work to be done, but there has been a lot of good progress.
