my i7 was at 4ghz

and the GPUs are at stock

its not temps that's a problem its the fans on the GPUs themselves they get loud over 40% and it is very annoying

i do then have a problem with temps if i do set them to 40%

thats quite strange my references arent all that noisy till i crank them to about 55-60

the problem is

if i were to pre-set a fan speed then both of them will be running at that speed making even 35% seem noisy

i stand by what i have said either on here or a different forum

these coolers are not made for SLi set-ups

well i plan to have 2 of the 768's in sli soon so ill report back but as its common noise is subjectiive by the individual

Hmmmm you sure? Im sure I leant you a cooler as you were using the stock intel one

just as a update (sort of)

today i OC'ed the cards to 850mhz on the core and the top card reached a nice and toasty 99C
