Hello,
Let's try to keep it simple. I did watch TTL's M.2 video and it didn't help, so here I am.
I just upgraded a few, or more like all (except GPU), components on my system and decided to go with a M.2 SSD, but I can't seem to get it to work.
Specs:
Asus Z97-AR
Intel Core i7 4790K
Palit GTX 770
2x8GB Corsair Vengance Pro 2133
240GB Crucial M500 M.2 SSD (CT240M500SSSD4)
Corsair H105
Corsair RM650
I changed the Setting in the UEFI to M.2 Mode, also tried it in the default mode. The Windows Installer (Booted from DVD) doesn't recognize it.
So I installed Windows 8.1 onto an OCZ Vertex 2 128GB SSD, to find out if the M.2 would work under the alternative way shown in TTL's video. Nope.
Also, the OCZ drive now boots into a bluescreen, and won't show up in the UEFI afterwards. GPU not connected.
Does anyone have an idea what is going on here?
My old components stoped working yesterday, which is an other issue I'm having right now - I suspect it's a GPU failure, which is why my "new" machine is running on the integrated GPU.
greetings from germany

.:Edit:.
Okay, I have the system now temporarily running on the OCZ drive, but I still want to get the OS onto the M.2.
