Once upon a time the idea of a 1TB SSD was the stuff of dreams. Today we look at Crucial's BX100 1TB SSD. Oh yes.

Sometimes a product appears which sells itself...

Nice one :
Sometimes a product appears which sells itself...A One Terabyte Solid State Drive for under £300.

Just ordered the 500 Gb version off Amazon for £135 with free delivery (would like the 1 Tb version but funds are a bit tight at the moment). Thanks for the review Guv, it swayed my decision :D

they are still a bit expensive for me to buy them lol.
But atleast they are getting to be the correct sizes now.
if i can get a 2tb mechanical drive or even 1tb for the price of a 256gb ssd, i still buy the mechanical ones.
i have 5tb of mechanical and 32gb of ssd in this system. i really want to replace the 32gb one with 500gb or 1tb ssd, but i wont be paying more than £80 for a hdd of that size.. so i will be waiting a while yet.

Its worth it dude. But if you are gonna wait you mine as well wait for intel and others to release NVMe drives.. should be within the next year or so, probably have to upgrade to new platform however to support it.

Exactly. I am waiting till the prices drop like 3 times before I change my 2TB mechanical for SSDs.

It is certainly nice to see these 1tb at a good price, only have a handful of games and programs. Might see what's available around summer time and then purchase one.

The 512GB models are going for pretty darn cheap. You can always look at Crucials MX100/200(just released) as well for price comparisons. Worth it!
